Polylactic acid fibers have many applications in the packaging industry, as follows:
1. Food packaging:
Fresh packaging: Polylactic acid fiber has good breathability and biodegradability, making it suitable for packaging fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables. It can help fresh products maintain good respiration, extend shelf life, and naturally degrade after disposal, without causing pollution to the environment. For example, using polylactic acid hot-rolled non-woven fabric for peach packaging bags can not only maintain the freshness of peaches, but also enhance the aesthetics of the packaging to a certain extent.
Tea bags, coffee bags and other beverage packaging: Polylactic acid fiber can be used to make filter materials for tea bags and coffee bags. Its non-toxic and odorless characteristics will not affect the taste and quality of the beverage, while also being convenient for consumers to use and handle.
Food containers: can be used to make disposable food boxes, plates, food trays, and other containers. These containers can degrade quickly in the natural environment after use, reducing the harm of traditional plastic packaging to the environment. Moreover, polylactic acid materials have good processing properties and can be made into containers of various shapes and sizes according to different food packaging needs.
2. Disposable non-woven fabric packaging:
Shopping bag: Polylactic acid fiber can be used to make eco-friendly shopping bags. Compared with traditional plastic bags, polylactic acid fiber shopping bags have the advantage of being biodegradable and can reduce white pollution. And the mechanical properties of polylactic acid fiber are similar to those of polyester, polyester and other materials, which can meet the daily use needs of shopping bags and have good load-bearing capacity and durability.
Express packaging: With the rapid development of the e-commerce industry, the demand for express packaging is constantly increasing. Polylactic acid fiber can be used to make express bags, cushioning packaging materials, etc. While ensuring the protective performance of packaging, achieve green and environmentally friendly packaging, and reduce the impact of express packaging on the environment.
3. Packaging for electronic appliances and luxury goods:
Electronic product packaging: Electronic products have high requirements for packaging materials, which need to have good protection, anti-static performance, and environmental friendliness. Polylactic acid fibers have certain mechanical and anti-static properties, and can be used to make packaging liners, packaging boxes, etc. for electronic products. For example, in the packaging boxes of electronic products such as mobile phones and tablets, polylactic acid fiber materials can be used to protect the products from collisions and static electricity.
Luxury packaging: The packaging of luxury goods emphasizes quality and environmental friendliness. Polylactic acid fiber has good texture and strong customizability. It can be used to design and produce unique packaging materials based on the brand image and product characteristics of luxury goods, enhancing the packaging grade and environmental image of luxury goods. For example, packaging boxes for luxury goods such as watches and jewelry can be made of polylactic acid fiber material, which is both environmentally friendly and reflects the brand's positioning.
4. Other packaging applications:
Drug packaging: Some drugs have high requirements for packaging materials, which need to have good barrier properties, moisture resistance, and biocompatibility. Polylactic acid fiber can be used to make packaging films, capsule shells, etc. for drugs. It has good biocompatibility and will not undergo chemical reactions with drugs, ensuring the quality and safety of the drugs.
Gift packaging: In the field of gift packaging, polylactic acid fiber can be used to make gift boxes, gift bags, etc. Its biodegradable properties meet the requirements of modern people for environmental protection, and can be used to create exquisite gift packaging through printing, hot stamping, and other processes, enhancing the grade and value of gifts.
